If practices are canceled due to weather, the board will notify head coaches and team coordinators, then share updates via TeamSnap, email, and social media.
KVYFC policy allows games to be delayed, suspended, or canceled by mutual agreement, with a 30-minute wait after the most recent lightning strike before play resumes.
What is included in registration?
Loaned equipment is provided. Families supply cleats, a mouthguard, and an athletic cup.
How are teams formed?
New players enter a draft pool while returning players stay with their team. Team placements are shared by coaches.
Who coaches?
Coaches are volunteers approved by the HAJFL board and complete required background checks and certifications.
When do practices start?
Practice schedules are shared in late summer through TeamSnap.

Cheer & pom coaches are volunteers approved by the HAJFL board with required screenings.
What is included in registration?
Loaned uniforms and pom gear are provided, plus select spirit wear. Families provide cheer shoes, socks, and shorts.
What is the time commitment?
Practices vary by level and the schedule is shared in TeamSnap. Games are typically on weekends.
What is sideline vs. competitive cheer?
Sideline cheer supports game day energy, while competitive cheer focuses on choreographed routines.
