HAJFL College Scholarship
HAJFL, coordinated through the high school (they post it on their list of available grants/scholarships for seniors), gives a $500 award to one girl, and one boy, who participated in the HAJFL league. The applicants write a letter to why they are requesting the money, what they˘ve learned from playing in our league, what their career plans are etc. They turn in the letter to the high school (whoever the contact is in the principals office), and complete a form from the school to go along with it. The school forward all applicants to the President of HAJFL in February, the board reads the letters/discusses the participants, and we voted in March. The recipients are given the check at the award ceremony through the high school in May.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: If practices need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, the board will send an email to parents as soon as that decision is made. Players are expected to come to practice unless they've heard otherwise from a coach or board member.

From LCAJFL: Due to inclement weather, games may be officially delayed, suspended or cancelled by mutual agreement of both communities and commissioners. Games maybe rescheduled. The waiting period is 30 minutes after the most recent lighting strike before a game may restart.
